UAE forces engaged a drone that originated from Iran over territorial waters; Abu Dhabi called the incident a flagrant violation of sovereignty and reserved the right to respond.
The White House said Venezuelan interim authorities granted North American Blue Energy Partners 100-year concessions on 17 fields holding about 65 billion proved barrels, with Washington taking a 35% equity claim plus first rights on 20% of output.

Hormuz is no longer a pricing rumor. It is an active interdiction surface. Title to Orinoco and Maracaibo barrels is being rewritten on a 100-year clock while Chinese and Russian operators are being displaced.
Hard anchor: 65 billion barrels under 100-year concessions, against a waterway that previously moved about 90% of Iranian exports and is now taking projectile hits 17 nm east of Khasab.
What Breaks Next (Forward Risk)
If projectile hits on outbound tankers continue, dirty-tanker optionality collapses first; owners already pricing Gulf exit as a lump-sum premium will refuse the strait rather than discount the risk.
If the NABEP concessions hold without published contract text, majors stay on the sideline and the $100 billion capex pledge cannot move at political speed; extra-heavy fields still need years of steam, diluent, and upgraders.
If Chinese and Russian operators are stripped from those 17 fields, Beijing loses a sanctioned heavy-barrel book and will bid harder for remaining Russian, Iraqi, and dark-fleet cargoes.
If Russia’s diesel ban holds through September 30, Atlantic Basin middle-distillate balances tighten into autumn while Indian and European buyers shop UAE, Iraqi, and Venezuelan barrels that are not yet flowing.
If DSA designations stick, ChatGPT, Reddit, and Roblox face systemic-risk audits and potential 6% global-revenue fines by January 2027; that is a legal constraint on distribution, not a product story.
